Shmebruary Mach II

Another snowy weekend. Thursday, snow. Yesterday, more snow. Today, still more snow.

And today I broke my snow shovel.

It wasn't one of those cheap, plastic, one-step-up-from-a-child's shovels, either. This was tube steel and sheet metal and a padded handle, angled to avoid back injury. And this winter killed it.

I'm screwed. And not in a good way.

February Shmebruary

So, what's the second month of 2010 brought yours truly?

Snow.

Inches and inches of the stuff. Feet, even. One snowstorm after another. Some days, I've had to shovel my driveway three or four times. My back is killing me.

Today is St. Valentine's Day. Yipee. It's also Chinese New Year, the year of the tiger. Tuesday is Fat Tuesday -- so at least there's Pączki to look forward to.

My apothecary is coming along nicely. I'm in no hurry and finding small jars for holding my herbs by visiting second-hand shops and charity stores is kind of fun. The variety of shapes and sizes and styles makes me happy. So, there's that.

Back to work tomorrow. And guess what? It's supposed to snow! Huzzah.
