One Chapter Closes and Another Begins

I'm employed again.

Really, gainfully, full-timely employed.

After the third interview with AMR which included giving a 15-minute presentation on "How to Make a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich," I waited over a week, knowing that hiring for the Training Supervisor position was down to two people. I had talked myself out of the job after the first several days so that when the HR Manager finally called me to offer me the position, I said, "Wait... can you say that again?"

But it was true, she was offering me the position. I was thrilled. I still am.

Now I need to focus some positive energy on gainful employment for my still-unemployed friends. Papa Tim has been unemployed since just after last Thanksgiving and Mike has been laid off since February. Hear me, Universe! Grant these men good-paying jobs with benefits and whatever security can be found in these uncertain times.
