I Joined a Gym!
So, there is this young guy at work named Joe Franklin. In addition to being a CNC Machinist, he is also an amateur bodybuilder. He is preparing for his first competition and talks about his diet (bulking/cutting) and his exercise routine. He is just so enthusiastic about fitness! His enthusiasm is actually infectious!
And he started me thinking about my lifestyle. I have been pretty sedentary for a while, even with all the traveling I do for work. Being overweight has taken a toll on me -- high blood pressure, diabetes, etc. Maybe it's time to do something about that.
So, I joined Planet Fitness. I got the Black Card membership that allows me access to any club in the U.S., and there are plenty of locations in my territory. It also gives me access to their tanning booths and massage chairs/beds.
I am going to pay Joe to create a diet plan for me and an exercise regimen. My primary goal is to increase my stamina. I would like to be able to walk a mile and not break into a sweat. I would like to be able to walk up a flight of steps and not get winded. And, of course, I would like to lose some weight. Even 20-25 lbs. would be nice.
