Thoughts On... Travelling, Ultron and Life

Thoughts on Avengers; Age of Ultron
So I got off a plane from a week-long trip to Texas last Thursday night at 11:00 and immediately drove to my local Regal Cinema to catch a midnight showing of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Spoiler-free review: it was awesome.
Was it better than the first movie? No. Was it as good as the first movie? Hell to the yes!
All the characters, even the new ones, got their storyline, their moment in the spotlight, their opportunity to strut. Some of the CGI was a bit wonky in the beginning. However, on balance, the 3-D was well done without being intrusive. Joss Whedon's writing and dialogue were superb, as ever. I saw the movie again on Sunday with my buddy Brian and loved it all over again.
There has been much crap flung on the internet about the movie, enough that Joss Whedon deleted his Twitter account (again). I have read long treatises on how the movie is anti-feminist and the characterizations too different from previous Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
Whatever, people.
Movie good. Me likey. You no likey? Fine. Move along.
Thoughts on frequent airline travel
If you can't lift your gigantic roller bag into the overhead bin on the plane, maybe you shouldn't bring it, hmmm?
If you wear flip flops to the airport where people in a hurry are dragging heavy roller bags, maybe you shouldn't be surprised when you break a toe, hmmm?
Just because you ask for an upgrade doesn't mean you are entitled to one. Get over it.
Just because you and your boyfriend couldn't book adjoining seats doesn't mean that someone else is required to trade seats with one of you.
Most of the time, the fact that you have a short layover for making a connecting flight is the result of you booking it that way. It's no excuse to be rude or to think you have the right to rush past everyone else on the flight to get to your next gate. But if you need to do this, at least be polite about it.
Be nice to the flight attendants. You might need them to save your life.
Thoughts on life as it is
Soon, I will be travelling to three cities in two countries in less than two weeks. I must be out of my damn mind.
Otherwise, life is good. Spring has sprung, I have already mowed my grass and my apple tree is in bloom. I will tempt fate and state that I am in a relatively drama-free zone and am loving it.
