2015 Christmas Wrap-Up
Once again I used a photo of Jake for my 2015 Christmas card, although this time I only made the 15 cards I got free from Shutterfly. These only went to people who I thought would appreciate seeing my pooch. I filled out my card list with two boxes of Star Wars cards:
I also got some special cards for specific folks. Altogether, I mailed 55 cards and received 29, a much better return than in past years. I suspect sympathy from my father's recent death contributed to that, but maybe there was just more holiday cheer. I actually got cards from three people to whom I didn't send cards, although two of those were from my half-sister, Lori and from her kids.
I did pretty well with getting gifts, as well:
Included are The Meaning of Liff, a Douglas Adams book I have been looking for for years. My brother scored that one. I haven't yet exchanged gifts with my friend Lori, so there will be more added to the pile. The cool Disappearing TARDIS mug came from my co-worker Rebecca. Other gifts were received from my friends Mike (who stayed with me for a couple of days during his annual trek home from Atlanta) and Tim, my nephew, Andrew, who hosted our family get-together on Christmas Eve, and the folks who run Jake's daycare.
All-in-all, a good holiday!
